Blog training for parents and nursery visit photos

It was good to see so many parents who came in to learn more about reading and commenting on the blog. I hope the session was useful. It was useful to me to find out what difficulties you have.

Here are some photos from our visit to the School nursery (where plants grow up...not children!)

We were learning about how plants can be grown and changed by taking cuttings and by grafting.

The Reading Bug by Paul Jennings

This book, by successful children's author Paul Jennings, is about what we can do as parents to help children find the right book. I just finished reading it and was really impressed with the uncomplicated language and the brilliant cartoons. Here's a review from amazon. There are some great reading lists at the back too.
