Measuring carefully and solving problems









We were finding out how many hand heights are the same as our body height.
Some of us used this information to predict how tall a giant was by using a hand print.

Some photos of us doing this are shown below:

  14. Hey i like how you are comparing hand heights with you actual height. They are a lot alike. In the pictures above it looks like you are having fun, and doing a lot of work.

  15. Mr. Ben, the students that are posting comments here are all 13. I am not as worried about their online identity as with younger students. Next semester I will have 12 year olds and I will be much more vigilant about what they share in their profiles,etc.

    I have had fifth graders blog in the past and plan to continue even through fourth grade (9 years old) if time allows.
